Bark control collars (or anti bark collars), electronic remote dog training systems (sometimes erroneously called hot collars) and containment systems (dog fences, cat fences, pet fences) are used in training based on the two dimensional mindset of the dog.

Bark Control and Remote Training

Nuisance barking immediately produces a negative correction. Not barking produces no correction and the dog remains quiet and calm. Similarly, a trainer using a remote trainer can produce an immediate correction when the dog fails to obey a command.

All the bark control collars and electronic remote dog training systems in our range can be set to levels that are the minimum required for the individual dog at the threshold, not too high and not too low, to correct bad behaviour and encourage the positive attributes that are wanted.

The correction sensation produced by the anti bark collar or remote trainer is quite different to that produced by an electric fence or what can be received from household wiring. Although more intense it is similar to the static startle that often comes from a car door. It is also similar to the sensation from the electronic stimulation used in some physiotherapy treatments.

Pet Containment Solutions

Hidden Fence dog and cat containment systems harness the same theories to provide pet security. A buried or otherwise hidden cable carrying a harmless radio signal and the collar receiver worn by the animal create an invisible fence that the animal, once properly trained will not jump over, dig under or run through.

Our professional dog and pet containment systems are primarily designed with those pets in mind but also successfully fence in pigs, goats and even Alpaca. A properly planned and installed pet containment system, coupled with targeted training, can meet the requirements of the Dog Control Act and council Animal Control bylaws.
